Selena Gomez appeared as Guest Appearances in Studio DC: Almost Live, role as Herself in episode Host "Second Show" (Season 1, Episode 2).
Studio DC: Almost Live is a special for the Disney Channel. The special is a half-hour variety show that features both the Muppets and Disney Channel stars performing comedy sketches and musical numbers together. The style is similar to that of the original Muppet Show in that it features mayhem occurring on the Disney Channel Studio sets in place of the Muppet Theater. A second special aired October 5, 2008 with Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Jake T. Austin, Jason Earles, Jason Dolley, Moises Arias, David Henrie and The Cheetah Girls guest starring.

better than the firstThe first Studio DC special, hosted by Dylan and Cole Spouse, was rather so-so, despite being better than I'd expected. This second special is a lot better, and feels like it has a lot more (despite also being a half-hour special). The first one had a really long sketch, and a few musical numbers (some of which were also long). The scenes in this special were a lot shorter, which I guess allows time for more material and characters.
This special has many Muppet characters missing from the first production, including Fozzie, Beaker, Scooter, and Camilla (okay, so some were in the opening sequence in the first one). Beaker's big musical duet was the highlight of this special, but I also liked the subplot involving Camilla turning into a turkey (it's a shame that we didn't get to see how it happened).
All in all, this felt more like a Muppet production than the first special, and I like the Muppets more than any of the celebrities in this special (and aside from Selena Gomez, I can't remember any of their names; At least with the first one I already knew the names of some of the celebrities, and remembered the ones that I didn't know of).
